Inundation in Gg Buntal Kelapa Island Recedes

The Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has managed to handle inundation occurred in Gg Buntal, RT 03/02, Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district.

Seribu Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri said the inundation was 15-30 centimeters high due to heavy rain since this morning.

"We deploy five personnel to handle the inundation. Currently, the water has receded and residents can now access the road," he expressed, Monday (3/18).

To prevent inundation, garbage in the channel was seen cleaned from the channels.

"We urge the public and tourists not to throw garbage carelessly," he explained.

Kelapa Island Urban Village Head, Muslim uttered that this morning the Seribu Islands region was hit by heavy rain and strong winds. As a result, the water inundated the neighborhood road in RT 03/02.

"I appreciate the performance of those who handled the flooding quickly. Shortly, the puddle receded," he stated.
